Our Doctor
Dr. Marijoyce R. Leynes is married to Andy, who is an assistant principal in Whatcom County. They love exploring our area with their daughter, Benny, son, Henry, and dog, Kyoko, and enjoy the many outdoor activities the northwest offers. They feel grateful to call Bellingham, their favorite place in the world, home.
Dr. Leynes grew up in a Navy family in Fallon, NV. She attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA and completed her dental degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI. From there, she completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency and served on active duty in the U.S. Navy in Okinawa, Japan. Upon leaving active duty, she joined the active Navy Reserves.
She enjoyed being an associate in private practice and was the staff dentist in a community clinic in Eugene, OR before heading to the University of Washington for her oral medicine residency. She remains on faculty there and enjoys the collaborative environment.
Dr. Leynes is a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Mount Baker Dental Society. She looks forward to helping you learn more about your health and how to optimize it. Dr. Leynes is dedicated to your comfort and seeks to empower you with knowledge about your health.
Our Office Manager
Paytyne is originally from Montana, but moved to the Pacific Northwest two years ago with her husband, Tanner and Saint Bernard, Moose. She enjoys being around people and helping wherever she can. Paytyne has studied a variety of degrees and has worked in different positions, but is most passionate about working with people. She thrives on learning new things and providing the best experience for her customers or patients. She enjoys being outside hiking, skiing, or venturing around and walking her dog. If she’s not at work she’s either reading a book, learning a new hobby, or spending time with her family. Paytyne is thrilled to be part of the Cascade Oral Team and will always offer kindness.
Our Registered Dental Assistant
Angelica helps everyone who walks through our doors feel at ease and helps care for patients during their appointment. From childhood, she wished to work in the dental field. When not assisting, her passion is sharing time with her family and cooking. She loves to learn new things and aspires to become a dental hygienist.
